In Brief:

The final reeds trip to the year before it's closed to protect the bats...

Richard did a fine job of showing us round Reeds.

A fine cave, with plenty of formations to enjoy, four of the six had a quick trip round the upper passages just inside the first chamber. Col struggled where Neil flew through.

Patrick showed the way on to Neil, Colin and Ross, they were joined at the little man formation by Richard and Josh.

Continued:

Richard took Neil, Ross and Josh for a trip into the lower rift, Patrick and Colin were moaning about having bad knees so didn't follow. The drop down proved to be a bit tricky on their return, Patrick saved the day by having a sling with him, used to great effect by Ross to get back up.

The party then split in two, with Colin Pat and Josh taking the higher easy(er) rout back to the main chamber, while Richard, Neil and Josh took one of the low passages.

While waiting for the low passage group a bat, probably a greater horseshoe was spotted flitting around the main chamber, it didn't hang round (no pun intended) for long and was the only bat seen during the evening.

Once we were all back together it was time to head out, as swift half in the Abby then home, Our thanks to Richard for organising things.
