In Brief:

The three of us set off on a freezing cold evening to the Cornish mine, with the temperature gauge in the car reading minus 6. We parked up by the gate leading to a wooded area. After changing, it was off on a half mile walk to the mine Location.

Once at the mine a rope was rigged and the three of us then scrambled down through a loose stope to the adit level. This was Zara's first trip underground and after a little apprehension, she soon gained her confidence climbing down through the stope  and was well away. 

Continued:

The evening was spent exploring the levels and taking a few photos before retreating back up the stope. There was no way we were going to exit through the wet adit due to the freezing cold outside.
