In Brief:

After looking into a shaft on the headland, this shaft having been capped with granite slabs, it was off down the cliffs to a number of adit levels. Whilst searching the cliffs for the Wheal Osborne adit the group split. On returning from wheal Osborne, we found the remainder of the group had already entered the mine and Graham waiting at the entrance. We entered the adit and made are way over a few holes in the floor until we came across a winz, but there was no sign of the other to, who had dropped down through a hole in the floor.

On tracing our steps back to the portal passing over the hole where the others had disappeared down though, we emerged back into the daylight, to be met by Paul & Lionel climbing back up the cliff from the lower levels.

From here, it was a long walk back up over the headland back to the car to change, at which point the weather took a turn for the worst and the heavens opened. After changing by the roadside , we beat a hasty retreat back the the Tinners Arms at Zenor for a swift pint before the journey home.
