In Brief:

Meeting at the usual place, on a black, wet and windy night, it was decide that the first adit would be on Middle load, launder level.  After a brief intro for those new to Great Rock, first stop was:

Middle Lode, Number 2 Lode, Launder Level

A flooded and dripping entrance to this adit was followed by drier ground and some interesting coloring along the walls. A fairly short drive was terminated in a flooded stope with loose wood floors.  Richard and Dave venturing a bit further on to this than the rest of us.  Good amounts of Micaeous Haematite on the walls for those not seen it before.

Second Adit:

Middle Lode, Number 1 Lode, Launder Level

Another flooded entrance followed by a tour of the various drives giving a reasonable walk.  Interesting stopes and examples of wood deads supports and ore chutes.

Third Adit: North Lode, Launder Level

A fairly shallow entrance wade (by comparison to the previous two) was followed by a flooded winze to cross.  This lead to the famous scooter junction followed by a fairly deep wade through even colder water to the end of the drive.  Looking up the raining stope above the junction showed the metal screens in Heaven & Hell Adit.  All side drives visited and a bat found on the way out.

During which Margot proved that even the Dutch cant walk over flooded winzes.

This was followed by a damp walk back and change then most of the group repaired to The Claycutters' Arms as usual.
